Robots are becoming indispensable in today’s world. They are being used in a multitude of
different sectors such as surgery, autonomous driving, etc. There is a growing requirement for
intelligent robots that are capable of performing tasks that are time consuming or hazardous.
Robots that will have an impact in industries or consumer markets will have to integrate several
domains of robotics and coordinate these effectively. ARDOP (Autonomous Robot
Development Open-Source Platform) is the open source humanoid robotic
mobile manipulation platform. This would serve as an extensive platform for robotic research,
making robots more commonplace.
